Most major insurances will cover mastectomy bras and prosthetics following mastectomy surgeries and can be utilized for recovery and years beyond your mastectomy date¹. Post-operative bras and breast forms are essential to full-recovery and care following mastectomy surgeries.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Is there a limit on how many bras are covered by insurance?
Most major insurance companies allow 4-6 garments per year.
How do I know if I am eligible?
If you have undergone a mastectomy surgery, either on one side or both, you are eligible for coverage. Coverage limitations are unique to your insurance provider.
My surgery was 10 years ago, will insurance still cover a bra?
Insurance coverage is not based on WHEN your mastectomy was, but by use and need of a mastectomy bra. All you need is a L8000 prescription from your doctor, and we will do the rest!
Can any provider prescribe a L8000 code mastectomy bra for me?
Any provider* within your course of treatment can prescribe your breast forms and mastectomy bras. We suggest your breast surgeon or plastic surgeon as they are accustomed to writing these prescriptions. Scheduling your doctor’s visit? Download our prescription form here.
*If you are a Medicare beneficiary, your order must be written by a valid prescriber type.
What if the bras don’t fit me?
If you have any fit issues after meeting with our fit specialists, we can provide an exchange for your covered garments to get you into the right size and style needed for your body type.
Do I need to live in a specific state for you to bill my insurance?
Our insurance program is currently only available in the following states:
- California
- Florida
- New Jersey
- New York

If you live in another state and want to be notified when we can process items for you complete this form, and we will be in touch.
If my insurance does not cover the garment, can I use my HSA/FSA funds?
Our team is unable to determine your HSA/FSA benefits. We recommend contacting your HSA/FSA provider to determine if bras are an eligible expense.
