Starting in December 2025, Kaiser Permanente will be transitioning from your previous provider to AdaptHealth for home medical equipment and supplies (HME).
The timing of the transition will vary, depending on the area of the country that you live in. The transition will start December 1, 2025, and be completed on April 1, 2026. You will be notified a few weeks in advance of the transition date in your area.
- Effective December 1, 2025: Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
- Effective February 1, 2026: Colorado, Southern California, Oregon, and Southwest Washington
- Effective March 1, 2026: Northern California and Washington
- Effective April 1, 2026: Hawaii
Why is Kaiser Permanente changing HME providers to AdaptHealth?
Kaiser Permanente is making this change as part of their commitment to continually provide you with the highest quality care, services, and support. With myAPP by AdaptHealth, you will be able to place durable medical equipment resupply orders via email, text message, mobile application, or through an online portal. In addition, you will be able to easily view your order history, real-time alerts, confirmation of delivery, and will be able to connect with a patient support representative 24 hours a day.

Will the equipment brand/model remain the same?
Yes, wherever possible, AdaptHealth will provide the same brands and models that are currently being provided by your previous provider and we will also provide supplies that work with the equipment you are currently using.
How will I manage my account with AdaptHealth?
AdaptHealth will make it easy to:

- Make co-pays or deductibles to AdaptHealth (ie., making one time or recurring auto-payments)
Will my prescription or settings change?
No, both settings and prescription will be transferred to AdaptHealth as is.
How do I order supplies going forward?
AdaptHealth has a variety of ways to order supplies ranging from online and automated options or directly with an agent by phone. You will receive information directly from AdaptHealth on all available options.
How will I know my account has been transferred to AdaptHealth?
If you are currently using home medical equipment through your previous provider, your service will transition to AdaptHealth. Affected members will receive communications from both Kaiser Permanente and AdaptHealth prior to the transition date for your area.

What should I do if I have an urgent equipment need during the transition?
AdaptHealth will support any urgent needs starting on December 1, 2025.
Will my warranty or service agreement still apply?
Yes, the device warranty and service agreements will transfer to the new DME service provider.
Will Adapt Health have an app or a web site that I can use?
YES! AdaptHealth has both a member portal online as well as an app – myAPP by AdaptHealth.
How do I update my contact or shipping information?
Kaiser Permanente and your previous provider have been working closely with AdaptHealth to assure contact and last shipping location are uploaded and ready for your next supply order. To confirm or change, you can contact AdaptHealth directly.
What if I prefer a different mask or need a refitting after the switch?
